　　第五讲 新潮词汇 Trendy English
　　Step 1: Lead in
　　T: The contemporary world is a changing world, so is the Language, which is also in constant change and development. Along with the change of times, some old words die, and some new words are created which gradually form the new vocabulary and become more and more popular. It will help us learn English better to understand these new vocabulary.
　　1. Show Ss a picture of “no zuo, no die”, which has been introduced into Urban Dictionary of American in the last month.
　　2. Give Ss more examples of cyberwords, such as: Tuhao, people mountain people sea, gelivable, you can you up,etc.
　　Step 2: Activity 1--speaking
　　1. Do you know some other popular English expressions?
　　Show Ss several pictures about the following popular English expressions
　　(time-travel TV series, everything is nothing, envy, jealousy and hate, etc.)
　　2. Why do we learn trendy English? Does it do us good?
　　Popular words can mar life terms more lovely and lively. 
　　Learning more popular Internet language is fashionable nowadays.
　　It’s good for us to have a better communication.
　　Step 3: Activity 2--reading
　　Reading 1: Second kill& Group buying& Card slave
　　Have Ss read this part and find the answers to the following three questions
　　1. What's the origin of Seckill?
　　2. What's the purpose of group buying?
　　3. Are you in favour of this slogan--"Enjoy today's happiness by using the money of tomorrow"?
　　Reading 2: Naked wedding& Lightning marriage& 3s lady
　　1. What is naked wedding?
　　Could you bear the great pressure to enjoy a naked wedding if you were Tong Jiaqian?
　　2. Lightning marriage
　　Inform Ss that if we can’t handle the marriage properly, it will lead to fast divorces.
　　3. 3s lady/left women
　　Discussion: 
　　Why are some girls left behind?
　　high expectations of love
　　live in the fairy tale world
　　wait for the Mr Right
　　high requirements for others
　　be occupied in their own work(workaholic)

　　Reading 3: Rich Second Generation& Poor Second Generation
　　1. Have Ss enjoy a picture about that a rich young man uses 9999 roses to pursue a TV show girl in Changsha.
　　2. And then show Ss a report: Recently a report in Guangzhou said 60 percent of the university students want to marry the rich second generation. The reason: pursue a comfortable life by a less personal struggle.
　　3. Have Ss thint:
　　Do you want to marry this kind of people?
　　why or why not?
　　Reading 4: May-December romance& Long-distance relationship
　　What is May-December romance?
