【教学设计】
第一步 Learning Aims
教师用课件展示教学目标,让学生大声朗读,从而使学生明确本节课的三维目标。
设计意图:使学生了解本节课的三维目标,为随后的阅读做好铺垫,让学生的学习具有目的性。
第二步Leading-in
1) 教师让学生欣赏关于寨卡病毒的相关信息如起因、预防等,从而使学生意识到传染性疾病对人类的危害之大。使学生想要打败疾病,为人类造福。
2) 教师提问学生是否想战胜疾病,学生回答是,引出为了战胜疾病该怎么做,通过John Snow的做法,我们可以得到些许提示,从而引出本单元的主题“John Snow Defeats “King Cholera””
设计意图:通过短片欣赏,让学生了解疾病提高学生的防病意识。通过提问问题,能有效地调动学生的学习兴趣,活跃课堂气氛,也能为学生创造说英语的环境,锻炼学生的口语。最后问题的提出能激发学生的求知欲和好奇心,从而导入本课。
第三步 Fast reading
打乱John Snow做科学调查的步骤,让学生快速浏览课文,还原正确的步骤。
设计意图:学生快速阅读,把握每段的大致意思和主旨大意,目的是使学生掌握快速阅读的技巧。
第四步 Careful Reading
1.学生分段阅读课文,找出一些详细信息,更深地理解课文,回答针对每个段落所提出的问题,为之后的归纳总结与复述打下基础。
2.让学生对本环节5个任务(设置在导学案上)逐一阅读段落,搜寻答案。
3.对问题3 “What method did he use?”进行图片解释,使学生进一步了解当时的霍乱分布情况。
★并用课件展示给学生。
设计意图:通过再次阅读,充分理解课文,把握文中的细节,能够有效地培养学生自主学习的能力,并进一步加深对科学研究的步骤和措施。
第五步 Group work and Discussion
What should we pay attention to in our daily life in order not to get infected with the deadly diseases, like cholera, Ebola, etc?
参考话题:
1.传染性疾病的危害、起因与预防的针对措施
2.日常生活中良好习惯的形成。
1.学生小组针对话题,展开讨论,,并让学生将自己的讨论结果归纳总结。
2.学生以对话的形式展示讨论结果。
话题讨论的要求:
1. 组长统一组员意见,组内每个同学都积极参与到讨论中,表达自己的观点
2. 动脑动手动笔,由一名记录员把讨论的结果记录下来。
设计意图:让学生自己归纳总结,并以协作式活动让学生互相讨论交流,培养学生合作学习习惯,提高学生合作的能力。让学生自动展示讨论结果,培养学生展示自我的勇气,活跃课堂气氛。
第六步 Retelling
1.学生根据课文填空,完成短文。
2.教师请学生根据关键词复述课文,准备3-5分钟。
3. 展示复述成果,让学生当堂复述。
设计意图:让学生复述课文能很好的帮助学生回忆课文内容。老师给出范例,是为学生提供比较规范的模式,更好地让学生学习复述的技巧。
课堂升华:让学生从了解入手,从日常能做的小事做起,尽自己所能预防疾病。从而完成情感目标。
第七步 Summary
让班长总结本节课。可按惯例从本节课的内容以及情感态度方面总结,从而激发学生的学习热情和集体荣誉感,增强班级的凝聚力。
第八步 Homework
1.多读课文,学会新单词的应用。
2.从互联网上找到更多的有关传染性疾病的信息和怎样去远离它们.
设计意图:学生虽然学完阅读课文,但并没完全理解部分重点词汇、短语的使用,因此布置此任务来让学生进一步巩固所学知识。进一步提高防御传染性疾病的防御的【课后反思】
1.上课开始利用视频顺利切入主题,中间过渡自然,语言富有鼓励性和启发性,能使学生产生强烈的共鸣。教学设计符合英语水平中等的学生。
2.课堂时间的分配和调控上还算满意,教学任务能够按预期完成。但个别教师日常语言由于个人的习惯性没能更准确的表达。今后一定要在课前作好充分准备,有效利用课堂每一分钟,做最准确的表达。新课标不仅是对学生,更多的是对老师的要求高了,教师必须基本功扎实,教学技能娴熟,教法灵活多样,才能有好的课堂调控能力,所以今后必须加强学习,加强自身素养。
3.本单元阅读教学中,较为注重对他们思维能力的培养,但缺乏对学生阅读技巧和策略的指导。因此在以后的教学中也应注重加强对学生阅读技巧和策略的指导。而且要提高学生的口语表达能力。
4.阅读是一个综合过程,能力的提高更是一个循序渐进的过程。教师若能结合学生的认知水平,合理、灵活地把上述教学设计运用于阅读课文教学中,高中英语阅读教学目标是完全能够实现的。
5.更多设计活动要充分考虑学生的情感态度,要设法让学生在快乐中学习。设计内容要能调动他们的积极性;使他们养成互助与合作的好习惯。老师也应更多的关注教会学生学习方法,不只是灌输语言知识。
我深深地感到:只有设计出适合学生英语水平的学案,学生感兴趣的话题,才能最大限度的挖掘学生的潜能。 学生的创造力是无限的,他们是有能力用英语来表达自己的思想见解的。教师应千方百计为学生创造情境,使他们在英语课堂上努力做到善“思”、好“说”、爱“动”。同时教师应始终贯彻教学需要艺术,需要机智,需要创新,基于教材又不拘泥于教材的新教学理念。
