Module 8 Unit 23 Grammar----Perfective tenses
I. Teaching objectives:
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
tell the difference between Present Perfect & Present Perfect Continuous and Past Simple & Past Perfect;
use the three tenses (Future Perfect, Present Perfect Continuous, and Past Perfect ) properly in different situations.
II. Teaching procedures:

Step 3 T gives typical sample sentences and creates proper situations to guide Ss to tell the grammar rules and difference themselves in the order of :
1) Future Perfect
2) Present Perfect Continuous
3)The difference between Present Perfect Continuous and Present Perfect
4) Past Perfect
5) The difference between Past Perfect and Past Simple
Ss practice using them properly in different situations. Wort grammar rules with the teacher’s help and internalize the rules they have learnt.

转述结构
根据说话者的语义和语气选择不同的句式结构。常用的转述结构有:
1. 及物动词 + that 从句
适用动词:add(补充说), admit(承认), announce(宣布), agree(同意), believe(相信), declare(声称), suggest(建议), explain(解释说)等
She said, “Mr. Chen will arrive in ten minutes.”
→She said/declared/explained that Mr. Chen would arrive in ten minutes.
She said, “Tom is clever.”
→She agreed/said/believed that Tom was clever.
2. 及物动词+sb. + that 从句
适用动词: warn(警告), remind(提醒)等
He said, “There is a fierce dog ahead.”
→He warned us that there was a fierce dog ahead.
3. 动词 + sb. (not) to do sth.
适用动词: ask(问), tell(告诉), advise(建议), invite(邀请), beg(恳请)等
“Mare the door is shut,” the teacher said to us.
→The teacher told us to mare the door was shut.
4. 动词 + to do sth.
适用动词: offer(提供), refuse(拒绝)等
She said, “I will not give in.”
→She refused to give in./
