Step one: Lead-in.
1. T : Who is the monitor in your class ?
What do you think of him?
My ideal monitor: 1) a warm heart --- be kind, be popular
2) a pair of good ears --- listen to people’s problems
3) a pair of good hands --- help people solve their problems
Step two:Presentation-Listening.
Pre-listening:
1. T: Do you remember them? They look so excited, what’s happening to them ?
They both want to be the monitor of their class. Now they are talkng to their friends about their future plans.
While-listening:
2. Listen to the conversation, then try to answer:
What would Millie and Sandy like to be when they grow up?
Millie --- a social worker Sandy --- a popular singer
3.Listen again and finish A1 on P16, then check the answers.
